Code of Conscience

Working in an environmentally conscious way and giving to the open-source community has always been important to us. Thus, we were excited to be part of Code of Conscious, an incredible global initiative to help save the Amazonian rainforest.

We created a compact, low-cost cellular hardware and software solution to track machinery anywhere in the world. The system incorporates GPS technology while also harnessing uniquely cached geographic data stored within embedded memory. And it communicates via low-power 4G technology.

The solution was effectively a Geo-fencing application that prevented earth-moving machines from deforestation and operating in internationally sanctioned protected areas. Thereby saving the environment, one IoT device at a time.
